Due to said lack of excitement, I decided to post our most recent happenings via photos. Nothing super fantabulous, just daily life as we know it. And so, here is a brief run down of our week:
* Lexi is learning to fix dinner along side momma. She was utterly and completely impressed with her new found privilege to man the stove top. It's a right of passage amongst our female offspring. Next step...chopping veggies with the dullest of kitchen knives. Baby steps.
* We decided to give the bunnies some much needed freedom for a while. They absolutely love hopping around the house. The cat....no so much a fan of it. He has a wild instinctual look in his eye while watching them...I find it a bit disturbing. The bunnies are huge entertainment for us, though..with their flicks and dancing. And as long as they continue to not potty on my carpet, they just may earn more freedom. But the moment that spring is even remotely near...out to their summer cottage they will go.
* Lexi has fully mastered the art of enhancing our Wii horse game. I found her last night frantically riding off into the wild blue yonder. I thought it was pretty awesome and picture-worthy. Creative, that girl is.
* Creative as Lexi may be, turns out she's not very thrifty. Today she found a stuffed animal at the second hand store in which she had donated it to...and purchased it back. That was a complete waste of twenty-five cents. She was quite amused with herself, though. You would have thought she was greeting a long lost friend. I have no doubt it will, in the future, be venturing back to the very same store. And possibly re-purchased yet again. By us, no doubt. In another ten years or so, this one little stuffed bunny will have an accumulated value of forty dollars or so. We must start donating to a thrift store out of town. And not-so-ironically, it isn't the first time this has happened in our family.
hahahaha -- that is awesome that she bought back the stuffed animal she sold...i love that!!! :) And sometimes the seeming most 'boring' blog posts are the ones you will look back on and be so glad you posted...your little girl cooking at the stove...
