4 Months

(I'm still playing "catch-up" from August.) Just a few short weeks ago our little guys turned four months. It's amazing to watch them grow and change...seemingly overnight. Their little smiles and belly giggles are simply contagious. The older they get the more they look alike to us. We've all momentarily gotten them mixed up when they've apart from one another. But it has only taken a minute to figure it out. Some days they look so similar, other days they couldn't look more different. If that makes much sense.
Just a few days ago we decided to try some rice cereal with them. It was quite humorous, actually. Neither knew quite what to do with it. Just like my other babies' first time.

(The boys awaiting their delicious meal. They looked slightly confused at this point.)
Chase looked horrified as the runny goodness rolled around his tongue.
And then he grew bored while waiting during Cody's turn. (Be sure to note the bib. Best bib. Ever.)
Cody wasn't sure whether to swallow or spit it back out.

After a few messy minutes the boys finally caught on as to what they were supposed to do with the mouthful. Cody whined for more in between bites, and Chase popped his thumb in periodically, to be sure he savored the flavor. (Which made for a fine mess.) I think they enjoyed their first meal...for today when I put their bibs on, Cody's lips started smacking a mile a minute. These boys will be on steak and potatoes in no time. Next up...freshly pureed garden carrots. Mmmmm......let the mess begin.
