Every day with these boys is busy. Exhausting, even. We are trying so hard to remember to slow and enjoy each and every bit. But in all honesty, it's challenging to not feel at the end of the day as though the assembly line is shutting down. Double the work. But double the blessing. I find myself day-dreaming about what they're going to be like at the next stage. Picturing them crawling around, running around, chatting about. It is incredible to watch them slowly unfold into the persons they're going to become. It shall make all this hard work worth while.

Two Months
The boys turn two months this very day. Although it seems like they were just born, it also seems as though they've been in our family forever. I do believer we're still adjusting to their presence. Thankfully, they're doing four-hour stretches of sleep at night. Which means Hubs and I are getting just a hair bit more rest than before. However, the downside is they're more and more awake during the day and less and less content. There never seems to be enough of momma to go around. Fortunately there are enough arms to hold, kisses to console and hands to hold bottles. One thing these boys are not lacking for is attention. And attention is just what they're demanding lately.
Cody is still a fairly laid-back fella. Still the chubster of the two. We're fairly confident he would sleep well through the night if it weren't for the antics of his wild counterpart. Cody's newest trick is smiling. He just performed it for the first time yesterday morning. With eyes open and wide awake, even. And at momma, no less. (Although Hubs refuses to believe until he sees for himself. Even though the girls have witnessed it.) Perhaps he'll be a morning person, for that's the only time I get those grins.
Chase is still our feisty boy. (Does he not even look mischievous?) He wakes up fast and furious. You'd better have a bottle warm and ready when his eyes pop open. And although he likes his sleep, he will fight down to the last eye-blink to get there. When he's awake and happy he's rather intense. He loves to stare at faces and follow voices and people around the room. He has grown especially fond of daddy's singing. My biggest gripe with him lately is his ability to spit-up massive amounts. His wardrobe gets changed multiple times daily. I keep telling him he needs to keep mommas precious milk in so he can catch up to Cody in weight. So far he isn't listening.
