Eight

My littlest girl turned eight yesterday. She and daddy shared a special day together. Father's Day and her birthday. There were plenty of presents, cake and treats. I say it every year, and every year it still stands true. "I can't believe how fast time is flying." Seems like yesterday we brought this little one home.

Alexis really is a character of sorts. If you don't know her well, her personality is extremely deceiving. At first glance she's a painfully shy, quiet girl. To watch her from afar, in fact, she appears to have no personality whatsoever. In truth, though, she is quite the comedian. She's extremely chatty...especially with those whom she feels comfortable with. Sharp with one-liners. "Goofy" just so happens to be the stage she's presently in. She finds everything hilarious, and is almost always giggling about something around the house. Usually it pertains to things of the potty-type nature. Upon having babies in the house again; poo, pee and passing gas has brought a renewed sense of joy and humor. Turns out boys aren't the only potty-mouths. My girls can compete with the best of 'em.
Lexi is still big into horses. And so, keeping true to tradition, her gifts consisted mostly of horse stuff. To which they all claimed my living room floor and spread out their loot to play with all morning. The twenty minutes they all got along with simply divine...
