It will be a quiet, uneventful day. School will continue. Chores will be completed. Girlish disagreements will return. Life will resume as normal. Well, "normal" by our standards, anyway.

We Are Family
We have really enjoyed our crazy week with Hub's family visiting. The kids have played non-stop...and with nary a fight or disagreement. It's the boy/girl combination...it just works well. The older two have chummed around...built bird houses, played video games, texted each other from the same room (it's a pre-teen thing) and worked hard at competing to see just who is the best at everything known to man. They're buds.
The younger three have kept busy playing with Legos, Littlest Pet Shops, unlimited Wii games and what not. At one point we rounded them up to collect the sap. Then we feasted on a pancake dinner. Glorious.
And my sister-in-law has kindly been busy at work on several adorable little baby hats for our boys. Not only is she the queen of bread-baking, but also the queen of all things knitted or crocheted. It's truly to be envied. If I were the envying type. Which I am.
Although we're not exactly the life of the party these days, they've put up with us rather well. It's been fun....lots of laughing, a little picking, a lot of eating and some sleeping in between. Tomorrow they shall venture back to their homeland of Canada. And my girls shall be sad and bored. They do love a full house. And they absolutely adore cousins.
It will be a quiet, uneventful day. School will continue. Chores will be completed. Girlish disagreements will return. Life will resume as normal. Well, "normal" by our standards, anyway.
