Adventures in House-Sitting

Last week we packed up our family of seven (and bucket loads of things that go along with them) and began another week long adventure of house/dog-sitting. We haven't done so for quite some time (since we've had the twins, actually), so I knew it would be...interesting. And interesting it was. Not exactly a vacation...but the kids enjoyed the change of scenery.
This past week we....
Turned the living room into a racing arena.
 Had a little t.v. time. Okay....lots of t.v. time.
Brought our sap boiling operation with us. Sloshed sap in the car and all.
Did a little mattress jumping. Until Mama's nerves couldn't take anymore. (We do, after all, have a poor history with this sport.)
Attempted some spring snow-sledding. Until we reached the bottom in feet-deep slushy snow. Then it just wasn't fun anymore.
 Took some tractor rides.
And then THIS. Oh, so scary. So not ready for these kinds of firsts...but it happened. And Daddy said she did so fantastically.
We enjoyed a spring picnic on the driveway. A beautiful ending to a very long, busy, exhausting week.
And now we are home. Right where I like to be. There really is no place like it.
