A Boy's Life

This boy's world both amazes and amuses me. I was that mother whom was certain I would stumble awkwardly through raising boys. Turns out I've embraced it far better than I ever imagined. They've broken me in to a boy's life, and I must say...I'm smitten. It's a beautiful, wonderful, welcomed balance to a family that was once predominantly female-fueled.
I adore glimpsing at life through their perspective.
Sunny, spring days digging in the mud with sticks...
Hand-in-hand walks with grubby little paws...
Faces splattered with evidence of hard little boy play (and some in the mouth, just for curiosity's sake)...
Piles of clothes and dirty boots by the front door. Almost daily...
Little boy stinky feet; irresistible toes to kiss on, despite how dirty they may be...
Whoopee cushion entertainment, that's hilarious every time, as though it were the first...
Play that almost always involves wrestling, jumping, poking or some sort of other injury...
But...not matter how dirty, loud, rough, tumble or hard they play...there's always room for a little bit of love.
It's just the way a boy's life is.
